PLAYERS ON THE RISE: Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said there weren't any standouts in practice Thursday. Whittingham called it the team's worst day of the spring. Focus and intensity were lacking, he explained, and many players were feeling sorry for themselves because their legs were weary after three weeks of practices.
INJURY REPORT: Senior defensive back Terrell Cole banged his knee up in practice Thursday and was taken off the field. Whittingham said the seriousness of the injury wasn't immediately known. Senior receiver Bradon Godfrey suffered a minor hamstring strain.
NOTES: Utah's first spring scrimmage is set for Saturday at 9:45. Whittingham said it'll consist of 70-80 snaps and include both live and situational work. The scrimmage will take place at Rice- Eccles Stadium and is open to the public.
