Tips for saving for college and other ways to pay hefty school expenses will be discussed during a public workshop at the Salt Lake Main Library, 210 E. 400 South, Saturday.
Author Paul Carlin will discuss topics such as how to send college students to the school of their dreams without going broke, how to triple federal aid eligibility, how to find available scholarships and grants and more. The increasing prevalence of college scholarship scams will also be addressed, including tips on how to avoid being taken in.
The workshop will be held downstairs in Conference Room C at 10:30 a.m. It is expected to last an hour and a half. Admission is free but seating is limited by the size of the room. Call 801-781-2459 for reservations.
