The Humane Society will spay or neuter homeless or feral cats for a special low price in April during its "Fabulous Feral Feline Fix" campaign.
Any homeless cat brought in by anyone concerned enough to get to the animal to the shelter, 4242 S. 300 West, will be surgically sterilized for only $17.50. The usual price is $28 for spaying a female or $21 for neutering a male.
Feral cats are animals who were either born in some neglected area in the first place, or abandoned soon after birth, and who maintain a marginal existence by relying on sheer luck and instinct.
Last year the society's in-house spay and neuter clinic performed a record 10,143 sterilization surgeries. Call 261-2919, Ext. 230, for more information.
