ST. GEORGE Police are investigating an Oxycontin robbery at a grocery store pharmacy.
Officers said a white man walked into a Savon pharmacy inside an Albertson's store on Bluff Street Monday afternoon, and handed an employee a note demanding the drug. The note indicated the man had a weapon, but one was never seen, police said.
The pharmacy employee handed over the Oxycontin and the man fled. A nearby middle school was briefly placed on lockdown while police searched for the robber.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call police at 435-634-5000.
