The Salt Lake City Library has scheduled several events for children, including:
• Storytimes book baby. A sharing experience for young children (up to age 2) and their caregivers on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 11 a.m. in the Main Library; Mondays at 11 a.m. in the Chapman Library; Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Anderson-Foothill Library; Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Day-Riverside, Sprague and Sweet libraries.
• Preschool storytime. Stories and activities for preschoolers on Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the Main Library; Wednesdays at 11 a.m. in the Sprague Library; Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. in the Anderson-Foothill Library; Tuesdays at 11 a.m. in the Day-Riverside Library; Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Sweet Library; and Fridays at 11 a.m. in the Chapman Library.
• Read to me, I'll read to you. Children can choose a book for the librarian to read or they can read one-on-one with the librarian on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. at the Chapman Library.
• Dog day afternoons. Children can read to therapy animals in a positive, non-threatening environment. Set for Saturdays at 1 p.m. at Main and Day-Riverside libraries; first Saturdays at 1 p.m. at the Chapman Library.
• After school storytime meets on fourth Fridays at 3 p.m.
