Utah State basketball: Carroll to compete at 3-point contest
"It's really exciting to be invited to this event," Carroll said. "It will be a great opportunity to show what I can do."
He will be joined by Jamar Butler (Ohio State), Shan Foster (Vanderbilt), A.J. Graves (Butler), Chris Lofton (Tennessee), Derrick Low (Washington State), Drew Neitzel (Michigan State) and Brian Roberts (Dayton).
The event will be televised on ESPN at 7 p.m.
"I think this competition will be really fun to watch. It will be very competitive, and you will have to shoot very well to have a chance to win," Carroll said.
Carroll, Utah State's all-time leading 3-pointer shooter, finished the season shooting 49.8 percent from behind the arc.
Foster, who hit 46.9 percent of his 3-point shots, is the only other competitor ranked in the Top 10 in the nation at eighth.
Last year, Carroll was a first-team all-WAC selection and an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American.
