English teacher's pitch for books

Donorschoose.org posting from a Fremont High School English teacher, seeking 100 copies of Fahrenheit 451 novels:

'Twas the month after Christmas,

And all through the schools,

The teachers were wishing

For new books that are cool.

The children were nestled in rows one by one,

While I had visions of Fahrenheit 451.

Away to the 'puter, I flew like a flash,

Donorschoose.org will help us real fast!

We're Fremont High School in Utah, Plain City,

And we'd love to teach 451 — it's quite gritty!

Our sophomores — how they need this

To expand their knowledge!

Then they will be better prepared for their college!

More rapid than e-mails, the wishes they came,

And they read them and pondered, and heard in their brain,

Oh, help us! Oh, choose us! Oh, please help and listen!

Our sophomores in tenth grade need this book, we're wishin!

To the top of the list, to the top of them all!

Now donate away, donate away, donate away, all.

The donors spoke not a word, but went straight to their work!

This 'hot' book will be great to work out a quirk!

We'll choose to fund for this teacher's cause.

It will make her so happy ... like a visit from Claus!
