WEST VALLEY CITY Police are searching for a man who they say stabbed a 24-year-old man Friday night inside Valley Fair Mall.
The victim was working at a mall kiosk when he went to talk to a female worker at another kiosk, police said. That upset a man who was talking with the female and resulted in a fight between the two men.
"During the fight, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest," said West Valley City police Lt. Dalan Taylor.
The victim was airlifted to the hospital in critical but stable condition, Taylor said.
Police say the man who stabbed the kiosk worker is a Hispanic male, about 19 or 20 years old, standing 5-foot-10 and of medium build. He has a shaved head and was wearing a white hoodie and jeans. Witnesses said he drove away in a black pickup truck.
