ST. GEORGE — A man charged with the murder of a Washington County man will go on trial beginning in October.
Edgar Navarro-Moreno, 26, pleaded not guilty during an arraignment in 5th District Court earlier this month. A judge scheduled a 14-day jury trial beginning Oct. 6.
Navarro-Moreno is facing a first-degree felony murder charge in the death of Mark Batin, 27, whose body was found in January 2007 in the deserts near the Utah-Arizona border.
