PROVO A Provo doctor will be recognized Tuesday by the American Medical Association Alliance for his exemplary service in the medical field in Utah County.
Dr. Howard Reed Reichman has practiced at the Utah Neurological Clinic for 15 years and has served as the chairman of the Neuroscience Department at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
"Dr. Reichman is an extremely gifted and talented surgeon and has patients coming from all across the country to see him," said Dr. Matthew J. Badger, who works at the clinic. "His reputation is outstanding, but also deserving."
He is also known for the work he has done over the past four years with his son's nonprofit group, Vaccines for Philippines, to offer free vaccines in that country. The father and son have also contributed to the renovation of a hospital and building public restrooms in the tropical country.
The alliance will honor Reichman at the Riverside Country Club on University Avenue in Provo.
