PROVO The planning commission gave final plan approval Wednesday night to developers of the Southgate Commercial Shopping Center.
Jim Bryan, a city staff coordinator, said the commission gave its nod to Boyer and Co.'s plans for the 46-acre project.
In phase one of construction, according to a staff report, Boyer plans to break ground this month and finish a 318,946-square-foot retail center by July 2009.
The Southgate Center shopping area is expected to cost between $70 million and $75 million. Target has signed on as an anchor for the center.
