OREM Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. will address graduates at this year's Utah Valley State College commencement ceremonies at 10:30 a.m. April 25 in the McKay Events Center.
"We are delighted to have the governor speak at commencement," said President William A. Sederburg. "He has been a great supporter of the college and our transition to Utah Valley University. We are grateful for his support and excited to hear from him."
UVSC will also award honorary degrees to Huntsman, United Way of Utah County president Bill Hulterstrom and Lane Beattie, president of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Morning convocations for UVSC's 67th commencement will include morning convocations for the School of Business, the School of General Academics and the School of Science & Health.
Afternoon convocations will be held for the School of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences, the School of Education and the School of Technology & Computing.
