• For more help on controlling gophers, go to extension.usu.edu and search on "killing gophers."

• Thanksgiving Point will host a rose-pruning workshop on Saturday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., and Monday, noon-3 p.m. Come prepared for the weather with gloves and pruners. Cost is $15. For more information, call 768-7443 or log on to www.thanksgivingpoint.com.

• Red Butte Garden is hosting a propagation workshop Saturday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost is $35 for members; $43 for nonmembers. Registration is required. For more information, call 581-8454 or log on to www.redbuttegarden.org.

• Wasatch Community Gardens is hosting a workshop, "Bio-Intensive Growing and Square-Foot Gardening," on March 20, from 7-9 p.m., at the Salt Lake Main Library, 210 E. 400 South. For more information, call 359-2658.
