Real Salt Lake used second-half goals from Andy Williams and Yura Movsisyan to post a 2-0 win over Argentine Third Division squad Central Cordoba in a 60-minute scrimmage Tuesday in Gabino Sosa Stadium in Rosario, Argentina.
The result kept RSL undefeated during its scrimmage slate in Argentina, now standing at 2-0-2 for the trip heading into today's finale against First Division squad Rosario Central.
The Utah club's attack woke up in the second half and posted the win, thanks to goals two minutes apart, the first set up by Dustin Kirby.
After the second-year defender's shot in the 52nd minute couldn't be secured by the Central Cordoba's keeper, Williams swooped into the six-yard box to knock in the rebound and give RSL a 1-0 advantage.
Two minutes later it was midfielder Kenny Cutler setting up RSL's second by dishing off to Movsisyan, who dribbled through a pair of defenders before snapping a low shot from the top of the box that tucked just inside the right post to double the RSL lead in the game's final minutes.
