Children First Utah is now accepting applications for scholarships to private schools. Scholarships are offered to children in grades K-8 and eligibility is based on income. Participants are selected through a random drawing held in May. More than 400 scholarships are awarded.
"Our scholarship offers families the hope of a brighter future and gives children a chance to excel in a school that meets their individual needs," says Leah Barker, executive director of Children First Utah.
Children First Utah offers scholarships up to $1,800 per student a year. Parents are able to use the scholarship at a private school of their choice.
