Raser Technologies Inc. this week said it has started development of two additional geothermal projects, including a plant that will be the company's second in Utah.
The additions bring the Provo-based company's total development projects to seven. Each of the two new projects — in Utah and Oregon — are for 10 megawatts.
Raser also said Wednesday that it is negotiating with several utilities with respect to agreements to purchase a total of 140 megawatts of power. The company said it expects to complete the negotiations this year.
