ST. GEORGE A high school teacher facing rape charges has struck a plea deal with prosecutors.
Court records indicate that during an appearance Wednesday in 5th District Court, Cris Lynn Morris pleaded guilty to three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16 or 17-year-old, a third-degree felony. Morris, 29, was originally charged with five counts of first-degree felony rape.
The judge ordered a presentence report to be prepared before sentencing Morris on May 8.
The Hurricane High School teacher was accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student at the school. She has been placed on administrative leave since being arrested.
