Calling all Pokemon players you know who you are. The Utah State Pokemon Championships will be held Saturday at the University of Utah Guest House, 110 Fort Douglas Blvd., with registration beginning at 10 a.m.
The event is free and open to all players, regardless of participation in other premier events. Competitors are divided by age and skill into junior, senior and master divisions. Prizes will be awarded to the top eight players in each division.
First-place winners will be able to compete in National Championships in June. If you've never played Pokemon, a game that involves skill, strategy and creativity, you are welcome to go watch.
