BASEBALL: After winning its home opener, BYU slumped into a five-loss skid, including three losses at Gonzaga before the Cougars finally trumped the Bulldogs 13-9 on their last weekend game. The Cougars got a pair of three-run homers from Steve Parker and Kasey Ko to break out of the slump and improve their record to 2-5.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Cougars improved their record to 7-6 this weekend by squeaking out a victory against Nevada Friday and then sweeping Kansas on Saturday.
