We need a real conservative

A letter in the Feb. 29 Readers' Forum by Caleb Pace was scary. Somehow, he and others of his foolishness have lost sight of the principles that have made this "glorious nation" glorious. It has not been socialist practices of higher taxes, more government control on everything, more unnecessary regulation, etc., that have made the United States of America the greatest nation on Earth.

On the contrary, if Barack Obama becomes our president, his liberal attitudes, along with Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid and several other left-leaning folks, will take us even further down the path toward socialism, which is definitely NOT what we need. Our best hope for the economy and other issues would be for a real conservative to lead the way back from our socialistic situation. As of now, we have no real conservative folks running.
