Hearing-loss session planned in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE — The Sanderson Community Center for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing is holding a free class, Living With Hearing Loss, for people with hearing disabilities, their family and friends. Spouses of those with hearing loss are especially invited.

The class begins March 5 and runs every Wednesday for six weeks from 6 to 8 p.m. at the center, 5709 S. 1500 West.

The class will cover symptoms of hearing loss, myths, causes of communication breakdown, misunderstandings, grieving over hearing loss and ear, sound and audiogram.

Register by March 3. Send an e-mail with name, address and phone number to dsdhhregistration@utah.gov or call the center at 801-263-4860. Comtek FM System and CART will be available for those attending the class.
