PROVO Technology licensing and development company Raser Technologies Inc. said Wednesday it has completed drilling on a geothermal well in southern Utah for use in a geothermal power plant.
The company said the well's water temperatures were above the minimum needed for use in its plant.
Detailed testing of the well is under way.
The company expects the power from the generation project will be sold to a Southern California utility.
Raser also is evaluating the characteristics of a well drilled in Nevada.
