Salt Lake City police are looking for a burglar who took a toddler with him to a break-in.
Police said several medical offices were burglarized on Saturday by a man who brought a 2- to 3-year-old child with him. The offices are located at 660 S. 200 East and 508 E. South Temple.
Police said the man was spotted by a doctor at one of the offices trying to break in. The doctor yelled at him, and the burglar held up what looked like an ice scraper, grabbed the child and ran. The baby was wearing a blue one-piece outfit with gold letters on it.
Police said the man did extensive damage to the medical offices. Cash boxes, medications, a laptop computer and a digital camera were stolen. The man is believed to have fled in a light-colored, extended-cab pick-up with a child seat.
Anyone with information is asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
