Concert funds going to family
3 boys suffer from illnesses likely due to mold in old home
In September 2007, the Groves' house was declared unlivable due to toxic mold throughout. The family's three boys, Gabriel, Gavin and Michael, each have serious medical conditions that have become worse, most likely due to the mold.
The Wish To Reality Foundation, America First Credit Union and Harper Concrete Inc. will be holding a benefit concert Friday at Highland High School, 2166 S. 1700 East, to raise money for a new home. A silent auction will start at 6:30 p.m., followed by a concert at 7 p.m. Pre-sold tickets are available for $10 online before Friday at www.utahhomemakeover.com, or $12 at the door.
Performers include Peter Breinholt with Steve Nelson, Jessie Clark Funk, Sojourn Dance Company, Kimberlee Talbot, Diana Walker Neve, Jordan High School madrigals, cast members from "The Civil War," Intermountain Children Strings, Anne-Marie Hildebrandt Group. Mrs. Utah 2007 Tiffany Berg and Patrick Perret will be the masters of ceremonies for the performances. Proceeds will go to the Heart 2 Home Foundation to help build a new home for the Groves family.
