"Chunga is easily the funniest person I've ever met. My job was to make him and the show better, and I know I helped do that."

Citadel Broadcasting, the owner of KENZ, had no comment on Mister's dismissal, because it is company policy not to discuss personnel issues. Because of that corporate policy, neither Chunga nor the station manager would comment.

Mister said he'd like to at least return to radio part-time one day, though Citadel is holding him to a six-month "no-compete" clause.

Mister's radio career spans 20 years, with work also at KCGL, KJQN, KFMY and KXRK. Before working at KENZ, he was employed as a reporter and an editor at the Deseret Morning News.

Erica Hansen, a former morning co-host on KOSY (106.5 FM) until last August and one of the best female cohosts in the market, has also been hired by the Deseret Morning News. She is the News' new theater writer and a feature writer. She'd been at KOSY for about five years, developing and hosting the popular "Showtunes Saturday Night" about musical theater. With a strong interest in theater, Hansen has acted in a number of local theater productions and starred as the country great Patsy Cline in "Always ... Patsy Cline" at the Salt Lake Community College's Grand Threatre in 2004 and 2005. Previously, Hansen worked for KSL and KCPX.

RADIO CHARITY EVENT KZHT radio is helping sponsor the Locks of Love event, Feb. 29,10 a.m.-6 p.m., at Studio 210, 210 E. Center, Orem. It seeks to help children who suffer from hair loss diseases. Donors must cut off at least 10 inches of hair. Cash donations will also be accepted. For more information or to RSVP, e-mail Jessica, from the "Z-Morning Zoo" show, at jpj1010@westminstercollege
