Heavy snowfall will delay trash pickup in parts of Salt Lake County the next few days.

The garbage will be picked up a day late in Taylorsville and the West Millcreek area near South Salt Lake.

Normal Friday routes in Herriman and Kearns will likely be delayed a bit. If for some reason the trash isn't picked up by 3 p.m., the county garbage truck will come back on Saturday morning.

County officials ask residents to bring garbage cans in at night to make streets more accessible for snow plows. For more information, call 562-6435.
