EAGLE MOUNTAIN — Popular country-western artists Blackhawk, Little Texas and Restless Heart — who bill themselves a "Triple Threat" — headline the city's Pony Express Days on June 7 at the SilverLake Amphitheater, 7920 N. SilverLake Parkway, in the Eagle Mountain Ranches area.

The City Council signed the $42,900 contract in January.

Blackhawk came to the forefront in the mid-1990s with several top 10 hits, including "Goodbye Says It All," "Every Once in a While" and "I'm Not Strong Enough to Say No." The trio was founded by Henry Paul as lead singer playing the mandolin, Van Stephenson on the guitar and Dave Robbins on the keyboard. Stephenson died of cancer in 2001, and the group now features Anthony Crawford as its third member.

Little Texas is made up of the quartet of Duane Propes, Porter Howell, Del Gray and Dwayne O'Brien. Also starting in the 1990s, the group has sold over 6 million albums with hits such as "What Might Have Been," "God Blessed Texas" and "My Love."

Restless Heart rounds out the triple bill. The group has made regular appearances on the country charts from 1985. Its hits include "When She Cries," "A Tender Lie" and "Heartbreak Kid." They performed in Orem last year to a sell-out crowd.

The original quintet of Larry Stewart singing lead, David Innis on the keyboard, Greg Jennings on guitar, John Dittrich on drums and Paul Gregg on bass recently reunited after taking a break for several years.

Tickets for the concert are $15, children 2 and under free, and can be bought through Smith'sTix and at City Hall.
