PROVO A juvenile charged as an adult in Provo's 4th District Court will go to trial on a charge of attempted murder.
Jerry Gale, 16, is charged with five second-degree felonies and one third-degree felony, including theft, burglary of a dwelling and attempted murder.
Prosecutors allege that on Sept. 1, while on the run from counselors at an alternative high school, Gale and a friend broke into a Provo apartment complex and hid.
When the counselor found them, Gale allegedly pointed a gun at the counselor.
The school official didn't remember exactly what happened, but police say he was struck several times in the head with the gun.
Judge Steven Hansen set the trial for March 19 and 20.
