PROVO The Utah County Health Department wants to help the women in Utah County improve their health by getting to "The Heart of the Matter." This special health fair, for women ages 40 and over, will provide free or low-cost screenings today and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day.
Breast exams, pap smears, and skin cancer screenings will be given by appointment free for low-income individuals. Fasting cholesterol tests will also be offered by appointment for $21. Free exams will include skin cancer and chiropractic screenings as well as blood pressure, glucose and oxygen checks. Drinks, snacks and prizes will also be offered.
All appointments will take place in the UCHD Clinic (Suite 1709) on the first floor of the Utah County Health and Justice Building, 151 S. University Ave. For information or to schedule an appointment, please call 851-7031.
