VOLLEYBALL: The Nationally ranked Salt Lake Community College volleyball team announce the signing of five recruits, all Utahns: Brittny Lolohea (Highland H.S), Whitney Nilson (Skyline H.S), Analaine Palaez (Fremont H.S.), Annalisa Nostrant (Snow Canyon H.S.) and Lakelle Havens (Dixie H.S.).

"This is a fantastic group of freshman," said coach Shay Goulding. "Not only are they classy young ladies, but they are all very strong players with extensive athletic backgrounds and experience that will certainly contribute to the winning tradition here at SLCC."

Weber State

INDOOR TRACK: The Weber State men's and women's indoor track and field teams posted 30 seasonal best performances, including one school record at the Boise State United Heritage Invitational.

On the men's side Weber State junior Adam Ball was the highlight of the day as he broke the WSU school record in the pole vault. Ball became the first Wildcat to ever reach 17 feet in the pole vault when he finished with a mark of 17-00.75.

The Wildcat women's team totaled 17 seasonal best marks and had two first places in the meet. Sophomore Alex Filiaga had a career best mark in the shot put, finishing first at 45-07.00. That mark is also the fourth best in Weber State history.

The other first place finish came in the 60-meter hurdles where sophomore Michaela Haggett took first with a career best time of her own. Haggett posted a time of 8.83 in the event, the third best in school history.

Two Weber State distance runners set school records and reached NCAA provisional qualifying standards Saturday at the Washington Husky Classic in Seattle.

Seth Pilkington set the school record in the 3,000 meters when he finished fifth overall with a time of 7:59.56.

Sariah Long was not to be out done as she also broke the school record in the women's 3,000 meters. Long finished with a time of 9:22.48.
