Key stretch: An ill Trent Plaisted came off the bench and scored back-to-back buckets to lead a late 9-2 BYU run in the second half and put BYU up 65-50.

Key stat: The Cougars made 26 field goals to 16 for the Falcons, while outrebounding AFA 34-23.

Top performance: Lee Cummard knocked down 8 of 12 shots with 8 rebounds for a 21-point effort.
