WRESTLING: Utah Valley's Ben Kjar has been named the Western Wrestling Conference's Wrestler of the Week.
Kjar, a 125-pound freshman from Centerville, was a perfect 5-0 last week and improved to 3-0 in WWC conference duals with a 10-4 decision of Air Force's Zach Valdez. Kjar was 4-0 at the Tracy Borah Duals on Saturday, with two wins by fall, one by major decision and one, over Western State's Eddie Lopez, in a 4-3 decision. Kjar's win against Air Force gave him 31 wins on the season, setting a Utah Valley single-season record.

INDOOR TRACK: BYU junior Kyle Perry and senior Carlee Clark-Platt have been selected as the Mountain West Conference men's and women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
MEN'S TENNIS: BYU hosts Boise State this Friday at 5 p.m. in Provo. Admission is free along with pizza and doughnuts.

SKIING: The team travels to Crested Butte, Colo., this week to compete in the Western State Invitational.

GYMNASTICS: The Aggies invite fans to share in their efforts to help raise funds for the fight against breast cancer when the Aggies host Denver on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Smith Spectrum. Pink T-shirts will be on sale for $10.
CEREMONY: USU will hold an open house in the new Athletics Center at Romney Stadium on Saturday from 5-6:30 p.m. During the open house Athletics Director Randy Spetman will officially unveil the Dale Mildenberger Sports Medicine Complex and the Dr. John Worley Sports Medicine Research Center.
WOMEN'S TENNIS: USU heads to Weber State on Saturday. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. in the Ogden Athletic Club.
INDOOR TRACK: USU heads to Colorado Springs, Colo., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1-2, to compete in the Air Force Invitational.
