The seventh annual Rural Business Conference will take place March 25 and 26 at the Carbon County Event Center in Price.
The event is hosted by U.S. Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah, and the Utah Rural Development Council.
The keynote speaker will be David Taylor, president of Procter & Gamble's Global Home Care Group. Taylor will discuss P&G's decision to invest in a new paper goods manufacturing plant in Box Elder County and how the company's business principles mesh with the local business climate and work force.
Bennett will speak on small-business growth at the conference's lunch session and will host a discussion on The Healthy Americans Act, a legislative effort to reform health care. Breakout sessions will focus on the future of coal, exporting to new markets, small-business financing, increasing sales and effective networking.
The cost is $25. Details are available at www.ruralutah.com or by contacting Bennett's office at 801-524-5933.
