The daughter of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is in Utah today to campaign for her mother at four different events, Clinton's Utah campaign headquarters announced this morning.
Chelsea Clinton, who works for a New York hedge fund, will hold what's being billed as hour-long "conversations" at the University of Utah, at 1 p.m. in the student union ballroom, and at Weber State University, at 5:30 p.m. on the third floor of the Shepherd student union ballroom.
Both campus events are free and open to the public. No ticket is required, but anyone interested in attending is advised to arrive early for seats. Parking at Weber State is available in the public pay lot, which is free after 3 p.m.
Chelsea will spend an hour at the Friendly Senior Citizen Center, 1992 S. 200 East, in Salt Lake City, and host a fund-raiser that the campaign is calling a "Hillblazer" for young professionals at the Port O'Call private club downtown.
Tickets are required to attend the two-hour private club event, and the suggested contribution is $50. The tickets will be available at the door or through the campaign Web site, www.hillaryclinton.com.
Chelsea's visit comes in advance of Utah's Feb. 5 presidential primary, when Democrats and Republicans will go to the polls to help choose the nominees of their political parties. More than 20 states nationwide will be voting on the so-called "Super-Duper" Tuesday.
