Clearfield man killed while crossing street

CLEARFIELD — A 51-year-old Clearfield man died after being hit by a truck Saturday evening.

The man, whose name has not been released by officials, was crossing near 1700 S. 100 West in Clearfield when he was hit by a Dodge truck just before 7 p.m., Clearfield police said.

The man died at the scene, officials said.

There is no crosswalk in that area, police said. The incident is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed against the 20-year-old driver of the truck.
