BYU

WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Cougars (2-4) dropped their second match in as many days (4-3) when it played No. 70 Washington on Saturday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.

INDOOR TRACK: BYU junior Kyle Perry set the fastest mile time in the nation so far this season at the Conference Challenge on Saturday.

The Conference Challenge pitted three teams from the Mountain West Conference (BYU, Colorado State and Air Force) against three teams from the Big 12 (Nebraska, Kansas State and Missouri). The Big 12 won the meet, tallying 224 points to the MWC's 145 points.

Perry's mile time of 4:02.56 was good enough for a national provisional mark.

Utah

SWIMMING: The Utah women's swimming and diving team recovered from Friday's loss to beat Air Force on Saturday. The Ute women performed well against the Falcons to win 174-118. The men's team lost to Air Force by a score of 167-131.

Utah State

INDOOR TRACK: Seven members of the Utah State men and women's track and field teams posted Western Athletic Conference leading times at the Cougar Indoor Invitational hosted by Washington State Friday and Saturday. A total of eight Aggies won events during the two-day meet.

Southern Utah

INDOOR TRACK: SUU's Sharla Platt, DeWayne Lewis, Dave Sheeran and Dontae Florial headlined the list of individual victories for the men and women's track and field team at the Friday Night Challenge at Northern Arizona University. SUU's distance medley relay teams also turned in a gold-medal performance.

Utah Valley

INDOOR TRACK: The Wolverines had their best indoor meet in the young season against a packed field at the Blue and Orange Classic hosted by Boise State. Both the men and women had several top-five and top-10 finishers.
