Park City and Summit County will celebrate Tuesday their recent joint acquisition of undeveloped land to be used as open space.
The city and county purchased 183 acres on their shared border, according to Park City public affairs manager Phyllis Robinson. They paid $3.8 million for the property, according to Park City environmental affairs manager Allison Butz.
The money came from voter-approved bonds managed by both entities.
The ceremony and celebration will begin at 4 p.m. in the parking lot of St. Mary's Church on the corner of state Route 224 and White Pine Canyon Road.
