ROY A popular drama teacher was arrested after a two-month police investigation revealed that computers he used at Roy High School and at home contained images of child pornography.
Kamron Klitgaard, 42, was booked and released from jail Friday on suspicion of sexual exploitation and distributing pornographic material. He faces two felony and 10 misdemeanor counts.
Klitgaard was put on unpaid leave after a district investigation Jan. 4, when students and parents were told he was absent because of an illness.
The Weber School District planned to fire Klitgaard on Feb. 1, after giving him 30 days' notice.
Roy Police Chief Greg Whinham said a forensics computer lab found pornographic images on two school computers that Klitgaard used and another at his home.
