Deputies say an anonymous "concerned citizen" has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of individuals wanted for stabbing three men, including two University of Utah football players, last weekend.
Ute players Paul Kruger and Greg Newman and Kruger's younger brother David were attacked last Saturday at about 11 p.m. by a group of men near 2900 South and 700 East.
Paul Kruger remains hospitalized with knife stab wounds in the abdomen and ribs. Newman was stabbed in the back with a screwdriver, while David Kruger was hit in the face with a blunt object.
According to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, the three victims were walking to their car from a party when they became involved in an argument with unknown people who had driven by them. The argument led to a physical altercation.
Investigators continue to track leads in the case, including a vehicle description.
Anyone with information is asked to call detective Mike Smith at 743-5950.
