The Green Building Center in Salt Lake City has completed its expansion and plans a grand reopening celebration today.
The event, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., will include food, drinks, vendor representatives and educational presentations by local green-building experts . The Green Building Center is a locally based retailer that sells environmentally friendly construction materials and offers consulting to homeowners< interested in green building and remodeling projects.
The speakers will discuss new residential building standards for LEED certification, as well as siting homes to maximize solar exposure and using plants to improve air quality in homes.
