The Deseret Morning News ran an article Jan. 12 about the controversy of our state representatives accepting gifts from lobbyists. Sen. Patricia Jones, who sponsored a bill that would prohibit the lawmakers from accepting gifts, accepted four tickets to the Billy Joel concert. When questioned about it she said, "It's difficult to keep track of." What? If I was asked how I ended up with four tickets to Billy Joel and couldn't keep "track" of how I got them, my family would have me committed.
She goes on to say that she is going to "reimburse them." Reimburse who?
