Patricia Reyes-Zamora, who is charged with first-degree felony child kidnapping, is scheduled to make an initial appearance in 3rd District Court today.
Police say Reyes-Zamora, 31, walked away from a substance abuse rehabilitation center in December with her 3-year-old daughter during a scheduled visit with the child. The little girl had been dropped off by her father, who has sole custody of the girl.
An Amber Alert was issued when the father returned to find that the mother and child were both gone.
