SPRINGVILLE Community members are holding a benefit concert tonight for the family of Jim Hall, a Payson man who died from injuries suffered in a truck rollover on Nebo Mountain in October.
Hall was on a hunting trip with his son Braxton when their truck rolled down a ravine. Even with a fractured vertebra, Hall managed to lead his son 15 miles to safety. Hall was scheduled for back surgery the next morning, but he died during the night.
Hall was unemployed at the time of his death and left behind a wife and five young children with no money and no health insurance.
Friends of the family will host a benefit concert at 7 p.m. tonight at Springville High School, 1205 E. 900 South. There will be a live auction and musical performances by Peter Breinholt, Alex Boye and the band Miles To Go.
