Was: 2. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Three different players scored over 20 in win over Pl. Grove, which doesn't bode well for the Vikings' chances in round two in a few weeks. Next up: vs. Lehi, Friday.

3. Pleasant Grove (12-2) Class: 5A

Was: 3. Last week: 1-1. Outlook: Despite loss to Lone Peak, there's no question that the Vikings are still one of the elite teams in the state. Next up: vs. American Fork, Friday.

4. Provo (11-3) Class: 4A

Was: 4. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Seized control of Region 7 with impressive victory at Timpview. Next up: vs. Springville, Friday.

5. West Jordan (11-3) Class: 5A

Was: 6. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Visit to Bingham on Friday has region championship written all over it. Next up: at Kearns, today.

6. Bingham (10-4) Class: 5A

Was: 7. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Have very quietly won six straight since losing to Lone Peak by 19 earlier this season. Next up: vs. Hunter, today.

7. Pine View (11-2) Class: 4A

Was: 8. Last week: 2-0. Outlook: Region 9 title will be decided when Pine View and Snow Canyon get together for two straight games to end the season. Next up: vs. Hurricane, Wednesday.
