ORLANDO, Fla. — Rashard Lewis hit a 12-foot jumper as time expired, lifting the Orlando Magic to a 102-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.

Hedo Turkoglu had 26 points and eight assists and Dwight Howard added 23 points and eight rebounds for the Magic, who had lost nine straight to Detroit, including four games that knocked them out of last year's playoffs.

Chauncey Billups nearly forced overtime with a 32-foot 3-pointer that made it 100-all, but Orlando had 3.6 seconds left.

Lewis, who scored 16, took the inbound pass from Turkoglu, dribbled and threw up the shot with time expiring. A replay confirmed the bucket and Orlando's emotional win.

Six Pistons scored in double figures, led by Richard Hamilton with 21 and Tayshaun Prince with 20. Billups scored 18, while Rasheed Wallace had 15 points and 15 rebounds.

CAVALIERS 97, HEAT 90: At Miami, LeBron James scored 28 points and added five assists assists, lifting the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Heat — his first win in nine career trips to Miami and enough to send the 2006 NBA champions to their 14th straight loss, the second-worst slide in franchise history.

Dwyane Wade scored 42 points for the Heat, who are 8-32 overall — 2 1/2 games better than Minnesota in the battle for the league's worst record. The Heat started 0-17 in their expansion 1988-89 season, and with defending NBA champion San Antonio coming in Thursday, it's not getting easy anytime soon for Miami.

WIZARDS 102, MAVERICKS 84: At Washington, Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison gave the Washington Wizards their first season sweep of the Dallas Mavericks since 1996-97.

Butler had 25 points and nine rebounds, Jamison added 23 points and eight rebounds, and Washington overcame Josh Howard's 32 points to hand Dallas its biggest loss of the season.

Dirk Nowitzki finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for Dallas.

TIMBERWOLVES 109, WARRIORS 108: At Oakland, Calif., Ryan Gomes had a career-high 35 and 11 rebounds to help Minnesota snap a 16-game road losing streak.

Al Jefferson added 21 points and 12 rebounds and Marco Jaric had 16 points, 10 assists and eight boards for the Timberwolves, who won just their second road game of the season and first since a 103-94 win at New Orleans on Nov. 26.

SPURS 95, BOBCATS 86: At Charlotte, N.C. , Tim Duncan had 19 points and 10 rebounds and San Antonio ended its offensive doldrums.
