Thanks to the ECHL All-Star Game Wednesday, Utah is now off until next Friday when National Conference leader Las Vegas visits the E Center. That game will complete Utah's six-game homestand. Phoenix is also idle until Friday, when it will be at Bakersfield.
GRIZZ BIZZ: Utah rookie Keith Johnson will participate in two speed-type skill competitions on Tuesday night at the ECHL All-Star festivities in Stockton, Calif. The All-Star Game, in which Johnson will play also, will be on Wednesday night. Johnson will be in the fastest-skater and in the breakaway relay at the skills competition. Grizzly Justin Bourne is also slated for the All-Star Game and for two skills competitions, the puck-control and breakaway relays, but Bourne is playing now with Bridgeport in the AHL. If he's sent back down in time, he will go to the All-Star activities. If not, the ECHL may or may not allow the Grizzlies to replace him.
