There is still a considerable avalanche danger in Utah's backcountry.
The Utah Avalanche Center said in a statement Friday that danger is considerable in the western Uinta mountains.
"Weak snow near the ground that formed earlier in the season has not strengthened," the UAC said Friday. "Large and deadly avalanches can still be triggered this weekend in steep upper elevation terrain."
It has been categorized as moderately dangerous in the mountains near Ogden, Salt Lake City and Provo.
