Fire crews respond Friday to a tanker truck rollover at the westbound Interstate 80 onramp to southbound Interstate 215.

The ramp connecting westbound I-80 to I-215 will be closed for the next five hours because of a tanker rollover.

The single-tanker truck carrying 7,300 gallons of crude oil rolled on the interchange about noon Friday.

"It was fully loaded and took the corner too fast," Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeff Nigbur said.

It is leaking oil, the UHP said. People living in homes near the freeway have been put on notice about the environmental danger. Meanwhile, a valve that was broken has been fixed.

"The other is still flowing moderately," Nigbur said.

No one was injured in the rollover, troopers said.
