NANCE VAN WINCKEL, author of three books of fiction and six books of poetry, and professor of creative writing, Vermont College, will deliver a reading as part of the Anne Newman Sutton Weeks Poetry Series, Thursday, 7 p.m., Dumke Student Theatre, Emma Eccles Jones Conservatory, Westminster College, 1840 S. 1300 East.

KAREN GOWEN, author of "Farm Girl," will sign copies of her book, Saturday, 2-4 p.m., Borders Books, 132 E. Winchester, Murray.
