• CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, the national tour, on Jan. 28, 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., in Room 101 of the Performing Arts Building, University of Utah. Callbacks will be 5-9 p.m. the same day.

Producers are looking for a 10- to 14-year-old girl for the lead role, who is 10 in the play. They are also looking for a 10- to 14-year-old boy who will play a 10-year-old. Come prepared to sing a short musical comedy uptune and also a ballad. Actors will be asked to sing the first 16 bars, perhaps more, and read from the script. Call 581-6098 to schedule an audition. • GREASE, produced by the Belasco Theatre Company, on Feb. 2, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and Feb. 9, 1-3 p.m., at Academy Music, 16 S. Main, Kaysville. The musical has been adapted for ages 8 to 18, and singers, dancers and actors are being sought. The production will open in June. For details, call 510-8414.

• SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, a song and dance revue, on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 7-9 p.m. for singers, and Feb. 2, 10 a.m.-noon for dancers, at the SCERA Center, 745 S. State, Orem. Auditioners should be prepared to sing 16 measures of a song (a '50s or '60s-era song is recommended but not required). An accompanist or boom box will be provided. Some from singers will be asked to attend the dance auditions, but non-singers may also try out for some dancing-only roles. The play will run Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays April 11-26. • THE WIZARD OF OZ, the premiere production of the new Daybreak Community Theatre, on Jan. 29 and 30, 6-8 p.m., at the Daybreak Community Center, 4544 W. Harvest Moon Drive. Actors and singers of all ages are needed. Come prepared with 16 bars of a Broadway musical. An accompanist will be provided.
